Gödöllő is a city in central Hungary, approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Budapest. It is known for its magnificent Royal Palace, built in the 18th century by Queen Maria Theresa as a summer residence. The palace is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and is surrounded by a vast park. In addition to the palace, Gödöllő is home to several other historical buildings, including the Grassalkovich Mansion, the City Hall, and the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. The city has a rich cultural life and is home to several museums, galleries, and theaters. It is also a popular tourist destination, thanks to its proximity to Budapest and its many attractions.
