Krymsk is a town in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It is located on the banks of the Adagum River, approximately 80 kilometers northwest of the city of Krasnodar. Krymsk has a population of around 56,000 people and is an important center for the surrounding agricultural region. The town is also home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the 19th-century Church of the Intercession, the Krymsk Museum of Local Lore, and the Adagum River Embankment. Krymsk was founded in 1862 as a Cossack settlement and was named after the Adagum River. The town played an important role in the Russian Civil War and was occupied by both the Red Army and the White Army during the conflict. In more recent times, Krymsk has developed into a major agricultural center and is home to a number of food processing and packaging plants. The town is also a popular tourist destination, with visitors coming to see its historical landmarks and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
