Uden is a city and municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. It is located in the Peel region, on the river Aa. Uden is known for its rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages. The city was founded in 1196 and received its city rights in 1233. Uden played an important role in the Dutch Revolt against Spanish rule in the 16th century. Today, Uden is a modern and vibrant city with a population of over 40,000. It is home to a number of historical buildings, including the 15th-century St. Peter's Church and the 17th-century Town Hall. Uden is also a popular tourist destination, thanks to its beautiful surroundings and its many museums and art galleries.
