Wiener Neustadt is a city in the southeastern part of Lower Austria, approximately 50 kilometers south of Vienna. It is the eighth-largest city in Austria and the second-largest city in Lower Austria. The city has a long and rich history, dating back to the Roman era. It was first mentioned in 1194 and received city rights in 1277. Wiener Neustadt was once one of the most important cities in Austria and was even the residence of the Habsburg dynasty for a period of time. Today, Wiener Neustadt is a modern and vibrant city with a population of over 40,000 people. It is home to a number of historical and cultural attractions, including the Wiener Neustadt Cathedral, the Piarist Church, and the Wiener Neustadt Castle.
